美國有個叫Steelhead Licensing LLC的Patent Troll，告了一堆手機廠專利侵權 (比如它告Apple的訴狀在這)。它的專利是從British Telecom移轉過來的。British Telecom為此特別澄清說：

"BT sold all of its rights to the patents last year. We have no involvement in Steelhead Licensing LLC’s litigation activity."

發言人還補充說：

"BT doesn’t share in Steelhead’s licensing income."
